The Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan has reiterated the need for cuts in expenditure to reduce Ireland's borrowing.
Mr Lenihan was speaking at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce annual dinner.
He also warned that Ireland was paying itself too much in terms of public expenditure.
