The Post-Primary Education Forum has submitted a document to those involved in the review of the Programme calling for a re-examination of cuts in the sector and for no further cuts in the next Budget.
It says the cuts have led to the curtailment of subject choices for students, the teaching of higher- and ordinary-level students together and the dropping of programmes designed to help the most vulnerable students.
The Forum is made up of the National Parents Council post primary, two second-level teachers' unions, the ASTI and the TUI, as well as the managers of both Catholic and VEC schools.
