Gardaí and customs officers have seized almost €4m worth of contraband cigarettes.
Over 10.5 million cigarettes, with a street value of around €3.78 million, were recovered following a surveillance operation at Dublin port.
The cigarettes were seized in Dundalk, Co Louth, hours after they had arrived into the port.
The latest seizure brings to 75 million the total number of cigarettes intercepted in 2009.
