Willie John Kehoe won the national conventional title at the Ploughing Championships in Athy, Co Kildare.
Liam O'Driscoll from Bandon, Co Cork, emerged as the champion in the reversible section.
Both of them will represent Ireland at the World Ploughing championships in New Zealand next April.
An estimated 190,000 people turned out for the championships.
Organisers say the figures have surprised them and are well up on last year.
The site at Athy has been praised for its accessibility and structure.
