The Green Party finance spokesperson has said the party's national executive would meet members about the National Asset Management Agency.

Several grassroots sections of the party have called for a special convention on NAMA.

On RTÉ's This Week programme, Senator Dan Boyle said the party would discuss NAMA before the legislation is debated in the Dáil next month.

However, he said no decision had yet been made on how the membership could best be consulted on the legislation.

Senator Boyle also said the legislation should be refined to address public concerns relating to the level of risk the taxpayer will be exposed to.
