Three held after £1.5m Derry drugs haul

Three people are being questioned after Northern Ireland's biggest heroin seizure.

The PSNI said the drugs, with an estimated value of £1.5m (€1.74m), were found after officers stopped and searched a car on the Foyle Bridge in Derry at around 1am.

The 8kgs of drugs recovered also included a quantity of ecstasy.

Two men, aged 41 and 28, and a 24-year-old woman were arrested.
