Gaza activists are still detained
Sunday, 5 July 2009 23:1521 foreign activists are still in detention in Israel, five days after their boat was intercepted attempting to bring aid into Gaza.
The Nobel peace laureate, Mairead Maguire, and another Irish citizen, Derek Graham, are among those who have been detained.
The activists were attempting to breach the two year old Israeli blockade of the coastal strip.

Ms Maguire told Al Jazeera that the activists have refused to be deported until Israel agreed to free all of them.
