Electricians to strike next Monday

10,500 electricians are set to go on strike next Monday.

Unions and industry representatives reported that there was no progress during talks this afternoon.

The electricians are seeking an 11% pay increase and plan to place pickets at Dublin Airport and the Corrib gas field, as well as at other key locations.
