Further arrests in McDaid murder case

Detectives investigating the murder of a 49-year-old Catholic man and the wounding of his neighbour have made two more arrests.

Detectives investigating the murder of a 49-year-old Catholic man and the wounding of his neighbour have made two more arrests.

Kevin McDaid was beaten to death by a group of people close to his home in Coleraine, Co Derry, on 24 May.

His neighbour, Damien Fleming, received serious injuries in the attack.

Two men aged 28 and 30 were detained by the PSNI in the Coleraine area.

Nine men have so far been brought to court in connection with the killing, six of them charged with murdering Mr McDaid.
