Tallaght house fire investigated

watch

Gardaí are treating as suspicious a fire at a house in Tallaght in Dublin.

The incident happened around 1am this morning on Deer Park Avenue.

A fire broke out at the front of the house and a family were taken to hospital as a precaution because smoke entered the house.

However, they discharged themselves soon afterwards.

Gardaí do not believe a petrol bomb was thrown at the house -contrary to earlier reports - but are still investigating the circumstances.
