A 74-year-old woman died after she was struck by a car in Limerick this afternoon.
The collision occurred on the Corbally Road at around 2.30pm.
The woman was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital Limerick where she later died.
Meanwhile, a man died in a road accident in west Belfast early this morning.
The PSNI said only one vehicle was involved in the incident on the Falls Road near the junction with Whiterock Road.
It happened at about 6.45am.
