The union and the company have agreed to meet again at the LRC on Thursday next.

Pickets were placed on the Douglas store yesterday in a row over terms and conditions.

However, in a statement, the union Mandate said the workers will transfer over to the new Douglas store on the same terms and conditions as they are currently on now. They will also maintain their current hours and patterns of work.

The union said several long-serving staff at the old store received letters telling them to accept new terms and conditions or else be laid off.

Mandate had accused the company of trying to bully staff and last week the workers voted unanimously for strike action.
