New research from Fáilte Ireland shows that 22% of tourists view the general cost of living in Ireland as a disadvantage.

However, the research also reveals that 98% of visitors say they would recommend an Irish holiday, while one in five anticipate coming back in the next year.

Previous figures have shown that the number of overseas visitors to Ireland dropped last year for the first time since 2001.
