A 30-year-old man has died after a motorcycle crash in Tallaght.

The man lost control of his bike and collided with a barrier at Westpark Estate at 5.30pm this afternoon.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

Man dies after Co Laois accident

A 35-year-old motorcyclist died following a road traffic accident on the road between Rathdowney and Abbeyleix in Co Laois last night.

A car and the motorcycle were involved in the collision, but there were no other serious injuries.

The accident occured at about 11.55pm and the scene was being examined today.

Teen in court over hit-and-run

A 17-year-old was due to appear in court in connection with a hit-and-run incident in Dublin yesterday.

A 23-year-old man remains in a serious condition in St James's Hospital following the incident.

The pedestrian was knocked down by a car which failed to stop on Huband Road, Bluebell, just after 12pm yesterday.

Donegal crash victim named

The man killed in a crash in Donegal yesterday was 32-year-old Hugh Donegan of Drumleck Drive, Shantallow, Derry.
