Truck bomb kills eight in Iraq
Friday, 10 April 2009 14:22Five US soldiers and two Iraqi policemen have been killed in a suicide truck bombing in Mosul in northern Iraq.
'Five US coalition soldiers were killed, and one wounded from a suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive device attack earlier today in Mosul,' a US army statement said.
The attack took place near an Iraqi police compound in southwestern Mosul and at least two individuals suspected of being involved have been detained.

Iraqi police said the blast wounded 70 people and destroyed five Iraqi and two US armoured vehicles.
