Family appeals for public's help

The family of a Dublin man left in a vegetative state after he was shot in the face have appealed for the public's help in bringing those responsible to justice.

The family of a 28-year-old Dublin man left in a vegetative state after he was shot in the face have appealed for the public's help in bringing those responsible to justice.

Over four months after he was targeted by a gang in Tallaght, father of two Robert Delany is still at Tallaght Hospital with 16 pellets lodged in his brain.

Mr Delany is severely brain damaged as a result of the shooting, he has been left blind in one eye and cannot speak.

Robert Delany was targeted by a gang passing themselves off as Republicans, after he intervened to stop someone being beaten up outside a pub.
