Two men have died following road accidents in counties Sligo and Tyrone.

An 18-year-old died following a road traffic collision yesterday near Ballymote, Co Sligo.

Jonathan Bruen, from Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon, died at Sligo General Hospital.

He was the driver of a car which was involved in a collision with a second car.

A man died earlier in a road accident in Co Tyrone.

26-year-old Christopher McNeill from Coalisland was the driver of a car which collided with a truck yesterday evening.

He was the 13th person to die on the roads in Northern Ireland so far this year.

And the 16-year-old killed in a crash on the Callan road in Co Kilkenny yesterday was named today as Patrick McDonagh of Johnswell Road, Kilkenny.
