28-year-old killed in Galway collision

A 28-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Co Galway.

The crash happened some time between midnight and 3am this morning at Ballinahown, Rossavil.

The man was fatally injured when the car he was driving struck a water pump house.

A post mortem examination was due to be carried out on the victim at Galway University Hospital.

Gardaí have appealed to any witnesses who may have travelled the road any time between 11.30pm last night and 3am this morning to contact them at Salthill Garda Station on 091-514720.
