A man has appeared in court charged with the false imprisonment of two people in Galway last weekend.
43-year-old Michael McCormack of Ballbrook Close, Tallaght, Dublin appeared before a special sitting of Galway District Court this evening.
He was charged with the false imprisonment of Julien Flynn and his wife Emma, at their home in Lackagh, Co Galway last Sunday night. He was also charged with the robbery of €3,000 on the same date.
Mr McCormack was remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on 27 February.
