Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of UDA man Tommy English.
The 40-year-old was shot dead in front of his wife during a loyalist feud eight years ago.
David Miller and Ronald Bowe both deny involvement in the murder.
At Laganside Court today a detective confirmed that the only evidence against the two accused came from statements made by two brothers who were themselves originally charged with the murder.
They subsequently pleaded guilty to lesser charges and are awaiting sentencing.
Nine men have now been charged on the evidence of the brothers, David and Robert Stewart.
During the hearing a friend of the two accused was ordered to leave courtroom because of a disruption.
