Plans for 100 new jobs over two years

100 highly-skilled jobs are to be generated in Ireland over the next two years by an Irish-owned company.

Taxback.com, an Enterprise Ireland client company, plans to more than double its Irish workforce with recruitment of at least 100 highly-skilled staff in accounting, marketing and sales across its Dublin, Kilkenny and Cork offices.

The company provides international tax, finance and travel services for clients in more than 100 countries.

A new office building is being opened in Kilkenny today.

Speaking on RTÉ Morning Ireland, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment John McGuinness said it is good news for the company and the economy.

Job cuts by Fidelity Investments

US financial services company Fidelity Investments has made 50 full-time staff and some contract staff redundant at its bases in Galway and Dublin's IFSC.

The company, a subsidiary of one of the largest fund managers in the US, employs around 300 people in Ireland.
