Speaking on RTÉ This Week, Mr Kenny said the current Government has no mandate.
He said the Government is failing to control the economy and has 'walked us into the current crisis by reckless spending in the last number of budgets.'
Mr Kenny said that while in part the current situation came about because of the implications of an international financial crisis, he believes 80% of it has been caused by the Government's inability to understand what is happening on the streets.
