A 17-year-old has died following a single vehicle collision in Co Meath last night.
It happened on the Oldcastle to Loughcrew road, just off the R154, last night at about 11.30pm.
He was the driver and sole occupant of a car that went out of control and collided with a wall.
He was taken to Our Lady's Hospital Navan, where he died of his injuries this afternoon.
And an investigation is under way after the death of an 85-year-old woman in a road accident in Co Galway.
She was struck by a car at The Square in Ballygar at around 7pm last night.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the accident or was in the village around the time it happened to come forward.
