Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi was arrested in Pakistan's central Punjab province last Saturday.
The Indian authorities believe he was responsible for the attacks which killed nearly 200 people.
Separately, 15 men were taken into custody at a camp in the disputed region of Kashmir late yesterday.
The camp is run by a charity closely linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, the group at the centre of investigations into the Mumbai siege.
