A convicted ETA militant, facing terrorism charges in Spain, has had his case adjourned at Belfast Recorder's Court.
Spanish authorities want to extradite Jose Ignacio 'Inaki' de Juana Chaos from Northern Ireland to face new charges.
The case has been adjourned for a fortnight to allow the legal teams time to study detailed new information from the legal authorities in Madrid.
The 53-year-old was given a 3,000 year prison sentence in 1987 for his involvement in an ETA terrorist campaign which claimed 25 lives.
He was released early last August and travelled initially to Dublin and then onto Belfast.
Spanish authorities want to extradite him over allegations he praised terrorism in a letter reportedly read in his name at a rally.
When the case resumed today, Belfast Recorder Tom Bugess said he had sent a list of questions about the extradition application to a judge in Madrid and had received a detailed response which he had presented to lawyers representing both the Spanish government and Jose Ignacio de Juana Chaos.
He said it still had to be decided if this was an extraditable offence and he will hear the opening arguments in the case in a fortnight's time.
