Thousands join march over health services

Thousands of people have marched through Dublin to ask the Government not to introduce further cutbacks in health services when the Budget is announced on Tuesday.

Thousands of people marched through Dublin city centre today to ask the Government not to introduce further cutbacks in health services when the Budget is announced on Tuesday.

Speakers also said there should be no privatisation of the health services.

Marchers included members of the Dublin Council of Trade Unions, the Irish Nurses Organisation, Patients Together, IMPACT and SIPTU.
