Tricastle Construction Ireland has told RTÉ News it is in negotiations to try to keep its business going.

At least 30 construction workers were sent home from a building site in Dublin this morning.

The company said it is experiencing a short-term hurdle and was working to ensure staff would be paid on Monday.

A spokesman denied suggestions from workers that the company was going out of business.

Tricastle employs over 200 workers and is one of the largest concrete, formwork and shuttering sub-contractors in the country.
