Two questioned over Belfast stabbing

Two men are being questioned over the stabbing of a 25-year-old man in Belfast.

The victim is in a serious condition in hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach in an incident in east Belfast at 1.30am.

It is understood that the man was injured at a house at Epworth Street and the PSNI has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Two held over Derry assault

Two 17-year-olds have been arrested after an assault on a man in Derry.

The 19-year-old man was hospitalised with head and body injuries.

He was attacked by at least three people in the Foyle Street area of the city at 2.30am this morning.
