The 16-year-old who died in a collision in Newtowncunningham, Co Donegal on Thursday has been named by gardaí.
He was Noel Boyle from Manorcunningham, Co Donegal.
The crash took place on the N13 just outside Newtowncunningham between a car and a van at around 9.30pm on 2 October.
Mr Boyle was driver and the sole occupant of the car.
He was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the van were injured and taken to Letterkenny General Hospital, their injuries were not serious.
