US Senator Ted Kennedy was examined and released from hospital after he suffered a mild seizure last night.
Doctors believe the incident was triggered by a change in medication.
The 76-year-old Massachusetts senator has brain cancer, and has been receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Mr Kennedy, the younger brother of assassinated US President John F Kennedy, had successful surgery in June to remove a malignant brain tumour.
