Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses following the death of a 25-year-old woman in a road crash this morning.
The two-car collision happened on the Commons Road shortly before 1am this morning.
The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Cork University Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
A passenger in the car received minor injuries, while the driver of the second vehicle is being treated for injuries which are described as not life-threatening.
Motorists are being advised that a section of the Commons Road remains closed this morning, and diversions are in place.
