Man charged with Roscommon stabbing

A 36-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with the death of a woman in Roscommon earlier this week.

Woman fatally stabbed

20-year-old Kezia Gomes Rosa was fatally stabbed at a house in the town on Tuesday.

Amilton Leonel de Olivera was brought before a court in Co Leitrim last night and charged with manslaughter.

He was remanded in custody by Judge Conal Gibbons to appear at Friday's sitting of Harristown District Court in Castlerea.
