Stephen Cahoon, from Harvey Street in Derry, is accused of murdering the 30-year-old mother of four, who was two months' pregnant.

Ms Quigley was beaten to death on 26 July in Cornshell Field, Shantallow, Derry.

Mr Cahoon's counsel told Harristown District Court in Castlerea, Co Roscommon, that he was choosing to be tried south of the border, but he was reserving his right to change his mind, which he may do any time before he is arraigned.
