Smuggled cigarettes seized in Rosslare

Six million smuggled cigarettes have been seized by customs officials at Rosslare port.

Lorry driver quizzed after cigarettes seized

The cigarettes have an estimated street value of €2.2m.

A lorry and trailer were also seized.

The cigarettes arrived by ferry from Spain via Cherbourg, France.

The driver of the lorry has been questioned and released.
