A 35-year-old Derry man has been charged at Carrick-on-Shannon District Court with the murder of Jean Quigley two weeks ago.
Stephen Trevor Cahoon was charged with the murder of the mother of four.
The 30-year-old was found beaten to death in her home in Derry on 26 July.
Mr Cahoon was arrested in Donegal earlier this week after a request by the PSNI.
Mr Cahoon's solicitor asked that he appear in court in Donegal to facilitate his legal defence and visits from his family.
However Judge Conall Gibbons said the appropriate court was Harristown Court in Castlerea and he remanded him to appear there on the 15 August.
