Lawyers for former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic have lodged a late appeal against his extradition to The Hague.
He is wanted at the War Crimes Tribunal to face genocide and other war crimes charges.
After more than a decade on the run, the 63-year-old was arrested last week in Belgrade to face charges related to Europe's worst atrocities since World War II.
Thousands of people gathered in several Bosnian Serb towns today to protest against the arrest of Mr Karadzic.
Up to 2,000 people demonstrated in his former stronghold of Pale, east of Sarajevo.
