A campaigner from the anti-climate change group Plane Stupid superglued himself to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown during an event last night.
24-year-old Dan Glass was set to receive an award for his campaign work, but before he went up to meet the Prime Minister, he squirted superglue onto his left hand.
When he shook Mr Brown's hand, he clasped his right arm with the sticky hand.
In an audio recording of the event, Mr Glass is heard telling the Prime Minister 'Do not worry. This is a non-violent protest, but if you do pull your sleeve away, it will really hurt me.'
He went on to say that 'we cannot shake away climate change' and told Mr Brown 'to stand up to the bullies of BAA' in reference to the third runway expansion at Heathrow Airport.
The Prime Minister can be heard chuckling on the audio, but Mr Glass told CNN that there was an uncomfortable moment when he was trying to free Mr Glass from his sleeve.
