Chemical incident at Belfast docklands

Emergency services today dealt with an incident involving chemicals in the docks area of Belfast.

Emergency services today dealt with an incident involving chemicals in the docks area of Belfast.

Police said there had been a chemical reaction involving hazardous materials at a chemical distributions firm in the Duncrue Industrial Estate.

Four fire appliances attended the scene.

A 100m exclusion zone was set up, while people living nearby were advised to keep their windows closed.

There were no reports of injuries.
