A third suspect has been arrested as part of a continuing historic child abuse inquiry on Jersey.
The 45-year-old man was detained in the UK yesterday in connection with offences alleged to have taken place at a care home on the island in the 1970s and 1980s.
Jersey police have confirmed that the Jersey-born man has been detained in connection with their inquiry at the Haut de la Garenne former childrens' home.
Forensic teams have spent weeks excavating cellars there in their search for clues in an inquiry into alleged child abuse stretching back over decades.
The man was brought back to Jersey from the UK last night and will be questioned today.
Scores of people have come forward claiming they were abused at Haut de la Garenne.
This latest arrest comes as detectives say new tests prove beyond doubt that the remains of more than one child have been found there.
