A new fee of €12, up from €9, will apply to baggage booked online.

A fee of €18, up from €12, will apply to baggage checked in at the airport.

The Consumers' Association has criticised Aer Lingus after it announced the increase.

The Chief Executive of the Consumers' Association, Dermot Jewell, said the move was anti-family and made a mockery of low fare claims by the airline.
