BBC staff released in Donegal

Four BBC staff members who were among the eleven people arrested by gardaí in Co Donegal this weekend have been released.

Four BBC staff members who were among the 11 people arrested by gardaí in Co Donegal this weekend have been released.

They were arrested as part of a garda investigation into paramilitary activity.

The four journalists were working on an investigation for BBC Northern Ireland's Spotlight programme, looking into dissident IRA activity.

The BBC said that the four were working in accordance with BBC guidelines.

Seven other people arrested are still being detained at garda stations in Co Donegal.
