A 48-year-old woman has been charged with murdering her daughter in Cork City in July 2006.
Mary 'May' Prendergast, who is from the northside of Cork City, was arrested earlier today at the Central Mental Hospital in Dundrum in Dublin.
She was brought before the District Court in Dún Laoghaire, where she was charged with the murder of her daughter, Jessica, at a house at Old Commons Road, Blackpool.
She was remanded in custody for preparation of the book of evidence.
