FG motion on broadband services defeated

The Dáil has rejected a Fine Gael motion calling on the Govt to ensure that every part of Ireland has broadband services.

The Dáil has rejected a Fine Gael motion calling on the Government to ensure that every part of the country has a quality broadband service.

The motion also urged that if necessary, State funds be invested in the broadband system.

On a vote the motion was rejected by 68 to 58.
