A woman in her 70s has died in a road crash in Co Cork.
The incident happened on the main Cork to Dublin road, just north of Mitchelstown, when the woman's car collided with an articulated lorry at around 6.30pm this evening.
The driver of the lorry is suffering from shock.
Gardaí are warning motorists that the stretch of road will be closed until at least midday tomorrow.
Motorists heading north on the N8 will be diverted from Micthelstown onto the Limerick road, while motorists heading south from Dublin to Cork are asked to take the N7 at Portlaoise and travel via Limerick.
Separately, the man who died in yesterday's road accident on the main Belfast to Enniskillen road has been named.
He was Michael James Tierney, from Tullyneill Court, Sixmilecross in Co Tyrone.
Mr Tierney was the driver of a car that was in collision with a truck shortly after midday.
