Technical fault with You're A Star votes

A number of text votes received during last Sunday's You're a Star programme on RTÉ One Television were not counted during the final tally, RTÉ said this evening.

The station said the fault was a technical one and did not affect the final outcome.

The service provider, Xiam, has accepted full responsibility for the fault, and affected viewers are to be refunded.
