Northern Ireland Finance Minister Peter Robinson has revealed that the Irish Government is to provide almost half the money for innovation funds to boost Northern Ireland's economy.

Minister for Finance Brian Cowen has pledged €60m over the next three years allocated to all government departments.

Mr Robinson was presenting to the Assembly the final draft of the Executive's budget, agreed yesterday.
