A 14-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a car in Limerick at 6.20pm this evening.
The pedestrian was struck on the Condell Road, Limerick city
Witnesses to the accident took the victim to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, Dooradoyle, where he subsequently died.
The driver of the car involved in the incident presented himself at Henry Street Garda Station and is cooperating with the investigation.
The road has reopened following the collision.
