A 36-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a man in the Co Antrim village of Armoy early on Sunday morning.

The PSNI say he has been charged with manslaughter and will appear before Ballymena magistrates' court on Saint Stephen's Day.

The charge is subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service.

32-year-old Darren Murphy, a road maintenance worker from Stranocum, near Armoy, died following a disturbance outside a pub at Main Street in Armoy.

Two men were arrested in connection with his death.

One of them, a man in his 40s, was released on Sunday evening without charge.
