96 miners are feared dead after a gas blast at a coal mine in China.

The latest in a series of mining disasters took place in Linfen city in the northern province of Shanxi.

70 bodies have so far been retrieved and at least 26 other workers remain trapped in the mine shaft.

15 people were rescued.
