25-year-old Anthony Connolly from Priory Lawn, Ballybeg, was before Waterford District Court this morning facing four charges, including the possession of cocaine.

Judge William Harnett remanded the accused in custody with consent to bail if he lodges a bond of €400 and gets an independent surety of €4,000.

The judge also made a number of stipulations, including that he surrender his passport and that he sign on three times a week at Waterford Garda Station.

He is due back in court next Tuesday in Kilkenny.

Another 19-year-old man was arrested yesterday in Waterford city in relation to the incident.

He is currently being detained at Waterford Garda Station.

A total of 15 people were treated in hospital following the party in a house in the Ballybeg estate.

Two of these, 23-year-old John Grey and 21-year-old Kevin Doyle, remain in a critical condition in hospital as a result.

So far there has been no improvement in their conditions.

It is believed they became ill after eating damp cocaine at the house party.
